La Hormiga Verde is a Spanish recycler of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), committed to giving new life to materials that would otherwise end up incinerated. A significant portion of the recovered plastics are complex, mixed polymers that are often overlooked in recycling systems.

With the ambition of closing the loop, this projects aims to develop new products from new materials. Our goal is to identify viable applications for recicled plastics from WEEE waste.

At the studio, we’re collaborating closely with La Hormiga Verde to explore the material’s properties, legal landscape, design potential, and market opportunities.
