corales studio x la hormiga verde
La Hormiga Verde is a Spanish recycler of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), committed to giving new life to materials that would otherwise end up incinerated. A significant portion of the recovered plastics are complex, mixed polymers that are often overlooked in recycling systems.
In this project our goal was to identify viable applications for recycled WEEE plastics. We collaborated closely with La Hormiga Verde to explore the material’s properties, design potential, market opportunities, their recycling process, and EU legislation.
corales studio x iFixit
iFixit is a comprehensive repair solutions provider. They design and develop tools for DIY repairs, supply spare parts, and advocate for the Right to Repair. The company also creates and supports repair ecosystems for original equipment manufacturers.
Our repairability consultant work comprised support for the advancement of product repair standards through research, analysis, and strategic engagement, the development of repairability compliance assessments for OEMs, representation at selected international events and conferences and creating partnerships in European research projects and industry networks, such as the Circular Design Forum and the ongoing Fixophobia research project.

Catlanza is a renowned catamaran charter company in Lanzarote. Adding to its charter offerings, Catlanza specialises in comprehensive boat repairs for a wide range of vessels.
In this project, we followed up and reported on the repair process of the roof of a catamaran until completion. The mast collapsed inside the cabin. The roof was re-laminated with composite materials and the whole interior was rebuilt.
